Seloka was founded on a simple conviction: that Malaysia's heritage is one of the world's great untold stories. A confluence of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous cultures has produced a civilisation of extraordinary richness — in its food, its textiles, its architecture, its music, and its people.
We exist to share that story with travellers who are ready to go deeper. Not just to see, but to taste, to touch, to understand. Every journey we curate, every product we source, every story we tell is guided by that purpose.

The Beginning
A journey that became a calling
Seloka began with a journey — a slow, unhurried passage through the Straits of Malacca that changed everything. In the hawker stalls of Penang, the batik ateliers of Kuala Lumpur, the spice gardens of Melaka, we found a culture that was simultaneously ancient and alive, proud and generous.
We came home with notebooks full of names, recipes, addresses, and introductions. And we realised that what we had experienced was not something you could find in a guidebook. It had to be curated, protected, and shared with care.
That is what Seloka does. We are custodians of access — to the people, the places, and the experiences that define Malaysian heritage at its finest.
